I’m here to create imagery that goes beyond a photo for social media or a print collecting dust in a drawer. These photographs are modern heirlooms— a dwelling place that will always draw you back to your connection as a family and this unique season of life.
As a photographer, my goal is to artfully capture the meaningful connections, expressions, and beauty that is unique to your growing family. As a mom of four and former breastfeeding certified peer counselor I bring calm, understanding and a sense of comfort. These moments are fleeting and aim to capture every meaningful detail.
Most families spend about $1000-1500 with session fee and Fine Art prints.
What to Expect
My newborn photography sessions are designed for immediate families with newborns and are an on-location experience, including all the high-resolution digital files (a minimum of 60) in an online gallery with a lifetime print release. I want you to have all the images in your gallery - no selecting “favorites” when every little detail matters.
Your custom newborn session is done in the comfort of your own home, typically within 1 week from birth (or within 48 hours at your birthing place). My style is a documentary in approach. I will come into your home and beautifully capture this short-lived time. I have no expectations about if your newborn is crying or awake, or how any other children “should” behave other than being free to be themselves. There is no need for a perfection when capturing genuine connection and our most cherished relationships.
Before our session, I’d love to meet over the phone or Zoom to learn more about you, and answer any questions or concerns you might have. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and prepared.
Newborn sessions are typically done in-home in the morning before noon in the natural light of your home.
Travel within the TC area is included with any session.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book a date on my calendar. Returning clients will receive a discount code at booking.
Includes a session in your home (or birthing place) with immediate family members, with 1-2 hours of baby-led photography. Includes all high resolution digital files from your session (minimum of 100) presented in a private online gallery. A color and black & white set is included, along with an option for web-size images for social sharing, and a print release. A consultation before your session is also included.
FAQ
Can we combine a senior & family session?
A family session of any length is billed as a separate session. However, I provide discounts when two full sessions are booked within the same calendar year.
From where should we order prints?
I recommend ordering your prints directly through the online gallery I provide. Unlike mass-produced prints found online or in box stores, your images on high-end paper, with options are only available through a professional photographer. While you're not obligated to order prints through me, I highly recommend the handpicked options in your gallery. However, where you choose to print is ultimately your decision.
How far in advance should we book?
I recommend booking 3-4 months in advance. However, I can often squeeze in a last-minute Senior session, even if my Family session calendar is full! A 50% deposit fee and signed contract will secure your date.
You can just "photoshop" that, right?
While I have some post-processing skills, my main strength lies in creating beautiful photographs directly through the lens. If you have specific concerns or requests for post-processing, let's discuss them, and I'll do my best within the scope of my skills.
Will you help me pose?
Absolutely! While I do provide prompts to guide the session, I also embrace spontaneity, allowing natural moments to unfold beautifully. It's a balance between gentle guidance and capturing the authentic essence of the moment. I'm here to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable for you!
