what are your portrait fees?

My session fees are based upon many factors: experience level, artistry, equipment, mileage, time, cost to release negatives, and small business expenses. And best of all, there are no additional purchases required post-session since our portrait sessions always include the digital negatives and an official Print Release Form.  Learn More.

what are your wedding rates?

My wedding rates are based on 7 years of experience, and like portrait sessions, artistry, equipment, time, cost to release negatives, and small business expenses. All weddings include digital images, Print Release Form and a complimentary engagement session. Learn More.

do you offer any specials, discounts or a referral program?

Yes!  I have a referral program for my wonderful clients. If you refer a client, you will receive $50 your next session. You can also subscribe to my newsletter to receive insider discounts, mini-sessions notifications and last minute openings.

How far in advance should we book our portraits?

For portraits, 3-4 weeks in advance is best. Summer is my favorite season for photographing with those evening sunsets, bare feet and kid-friendly temps. Fall is my most requested season, and dates fill quickly. Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter to be first to sign up for my annual fall and holiday mini session events!

do you provide the digital files?

Yes! Digital files are included in your session fee, along with a Print Release for personal use, allowing clients to print photos use the lab of their choice. Although a viewing gallery to order high-end prints is provided, ordering prints is optional. Pamela Sutton Photography retains the copyrights to all of the files, as per U.S. Copyright Title Act (Title 17, United States Code).

Do you travel?

Yes! My portrait session fees include cost of travel within a 10 mile radius of my business address. Unlike some photographers, I don't charge my clients extra for the extra time on the road, only the cost of travel: Any travel after 20 miles round trip will be calculated by the current government business mile, up to 250 miles round trip.  This radius includes: Wayzata, Orono, Shorewood, Edina, Richfield, Bloomington, Savage, Chaska and Shakopee, MN.

There are two styles of newborn photography: posed / studio or lifestyle. A storyteller at heart, my art is to capture and document the real-life stories in the everyday. I am not a studio photographer therefore, newborn and milestone sessions are photographed in your home, or outdoor location. Please see our Lifestyle Gallery for what to expect.

what is your appointment policy?

A non-refundable retainer is required at the time of booking; the remainder is due 3 days before the session. When a date is booked, that spot is rendered unavailable for another potential client. Please make your best effort to book a date / time to which you can commit.

what is your cancellation policy?

In the event of less than ideal weather conditions I will do my best to make the call within 12-24 hours of your session. We will reschedule for the next day, or as soon as possible. The same would apply in the case of any other unexpected events. Families with young ones, please keep in mind when temps drop below 50F I will postpone our session for warmer, more child friendly weather. Summer sessions are fantastic time of year for families with young children!

do you only photograph outdoors?

Nothing inspires me more than the natural elements; it is where my art thrives. However, I photograph wherever natural light is available. Should you have an indoor location in mind, e.i. your home, simply shoot me an e-mail.

when can we expect our photos?

For portrait session, expect a 2-3 week turnaround. The digital files are delivered through by download inside your online gallery. Rush orders are subject to a fee.
